Mamertine Prison - this is a 2500 year old cistern that was once used as a prison. It is believed that St Peter was imprisoned and chained to a column here.

Caesar's Forum - the ruins of Julius Caesar's Forum.

Piazza del Campidoglio (Capitol Square) - a piazza and three Renaissance palaces designed by Michaelangelo. The statue in the center is of Emperor Marcus Aurelius.

Piazza del Campidoglio - in the center is the Palazzo Senatorio (the office of Rome's mayor is here), to the right is the Palazzo dei Conservatori, to the left is the Palazzo Nuevo.

Capitol Museum Statue

Capitolone Museum - this museum is inside the Palazzo de Conservatori. This giant head is from a colossal status of the Emperor Constantine. The emperor who legalized Christianity.
