Amsterdam Canal - The city is divided by a ring of canals into about 90 islands.

Amsterdam Canal Houses - These houses were built by wealthy merchants. The government taxed houses based on their width. So the merchants built narrow tall canal houses to avoid taxes.

Amsterdam Bridges - The city's canals are spanned by over 400 bridges.

Bike Path - Bicycles are a very common mode of transportation in the city, and is accommodated with many bike paths.

Central Train Station - trains from all over Europe come or leave from inside the station. Right outside the station (look at left side of top picture) sit all the local trams to take you into town.
